Angela: Dear Mr. James, what a good surprise to see your message. Thank you for all the videos – your voice is always in my mind, in a constant conversation with you. ☺ There is more equilibrium in life, more space, that appears behind the active, sometimes agitated personality; there is silence and peace felt.
This knowledge brings more integrity and clarity in life. There was a tendency to avoid what life brought in front of me, and now there is acceptance and understanding the duty towards the field. This knowledge is so powerful that I cannot come back to the old “little helpless person” that needed to be saved. What a discovery: to first take care of ourselves and not interfere in others’ lives.
In a way, this holy knowledge has something, that air of “je ne sais quoi” (I don’t know what), that takes me out of the life drama, being in the world, doing whatever feels right and yet having a sense of detachment.
Another phrase that is heard in the mind: take it as prasad – what a relief not to fight/ oppose what life brings.
There is a responsibility that comes with the gift of Vedanta – to integrate and live what it teaches. In this way it transforms the entire life.
It is funny in a way because something inside (awareness) ran faster than the external environment, and it senses the freedom within the same conditions. It was an inner idea that if I did the best I could do to understand life, then the others would have to keep the pace in order to reach me. It came true.
People and their stories come and go, appear and disappear as waves in consciousness. Sometimes, more often than before, they are not perceived as individuals, but as manifestation of awareness. This is really beautiful. So there are no others as before.
If you want, please check the accuracy of the ideas above and share your conclusions.
Thank you for your wishes, may you have a beautiful end of the year and enjoy these holidays.
James: Dear Angela, sorry I am so slow to reply, but I have been very busy lately writing the commentaries on the text Panchadasi, getting to India, having my teeth fixed and getting the teaching venue set up for 100 people. Finally everything is in place and running smoothly and I have time to say thank you for this lovely testimonial to the power of the teaching. Actually the teaching can’t do anything without the contribution of the inquirer, and it seems you have been very devoted because the results are so positive – the acceptance of life and the felt peace. I am happy for you. The grace to accept life and appreciate your part in it is a great gift and well-earned. There is really nothing to comment on as far as the accuracy of the ideas is concerned. They are perfect. I particularly enjoyed the idea that when you expose your mind to the teachings and apply yourself to them awareness “runs faster than one’s external environment” and senses the freedom in the same conditions that it did not sense before. When you worship Isvara in the right spirit It responds so beautifully. Anyway, thanks again for your donation. May Isvara continue to bless you in every way.
~ Love, James
