Shining World

Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is

Ramji,

Season’s greetings! I hope this email finds you well. As usual things have been very eventful with me. It seems I will be moving out on my own after all. My efforts over the last 7 years have been fairly successful financially so splitting everything in half will leave me with a modest income and a small house of my own to live in which I have purchased outright here. My son is out of the house and my daughter has one more year of high-school so my duties raising children are also coming to a close. Although there is a faint desire to find a new companion, it is quickly replaced with the awareness of how fleeting and conditional that type of happiness is. It seems God has opened the door for me to really put my money where my mouth is spiritually speaking.

Lately my thoughts have been consumed with continuing to perfect the qualifications for Moksha. I have at this point every opportunity to simplify my life in a way that is in alignment with the teachings. Funny how that works. The Karma of my poor behavior in the past has also helped me to really start considering how everything comes back. Even negative talk and thinking. I no longer wish to be in conflict with the world or people. My mental state needs to take center stage. My mind and attention are turning increasingly inward. Toward the Self. Toward love. As always I am extremely grateful to have found Vedanta in this lifetime. Reading and listening to the videos has become part of my morning routine after meditation. This last year has been a doozy. But at the same time it couldn’t have been any other way.

God bless. Happy new year

Love

Ramji:  It seems Isvara has blessed you with a clear humble mind.  You’re definitely on the right path.  As the Gita says,  “Even a great sinner who is rightly resolved to seek Me should be respected.”

Much love
