Shining World

Gratitude – A Perfect Teacher or a Perfect Teaching?

I have been thinking of you and wanting to write to you – no questions arise – only the desire to say something.

Only silence remains and the words THANK YOU. Here are a few of the gratitudes I feel:

Thank you for validating the understanding of my Being as consciousness and showing my doubting mind where its ignorance still had traction.

Thank you for not “being a perfect human being” and thereby destroying my attachment to the dangerous idea of a perfect teacher rather than a perfect teaching.

Thank you specifically for your teaching on Ramana’s Upadesa Saram that dissolved the apparent gap between my mind and my heart. Since then I only know love.

God speed and blessings on this next phase of your journey to Italy and beyond,

Thank you, thank you,

With love, my dear friend

You’re most welcome, Mary.  Give yourself a nice pat on the back for being an imperfectly perfect student.

Love,

James
