And I just wanted to express my gratitude to you James. It was a literally life changing moment when I came through some of your videos on youtube. And from that moment on, it has been a continuous journey towards realization and purification of the mind. When I started it all, there was this unknown tendency of using Vedanta as a tool to bypass my suffering, like a short path. But fortunately it doest work like that. Life or Isvara is always there proving what works and what not, we have to be openminded and as objective as we can in each step to get the context of it all and reframe our interpretation and doing accordingly.
The interesting part is that following the objective thinking based on the teachings, you end up in the pillars of Karma Yoga, even if you didn’t start it with that objective in mind. And once you address all your concerns about the jiva and see that there was nothing wrong or bounding with him in his limits and imperfection. The next step is inevitably Jnana Yoga. It all falls so beautifully and also all the forcing of assimilating the teachings dissolves as time passes by. You see that the gap between the teachings and life dissolves more and more, and you see more and more that life and each moment is the exact moment and place where the teachings are applied.
The conflict with what is lessens and you see that this was the reason of your everyday suffering. It is an unending process, not a one hit objective as usually is being thought in the beginning. All you have to do is apply the teachings in every step, you cannot force anything, you learn how to live in harmony more and more.
Anyway this email got longer than expected. I just realized that there was so much work to be done on the mind level, towards maturity and objectivity, otherwise the teachings could not be assimilated. It’s a journey that goes on and no-one knows how it goes, we just have to live it based on the facts that the teachings explain so beautifully. That’s why I’ll be always grateful to you, as the teacher who showed me the turning point and gave me the ball in my hands to play accordingly.
Thank you James!
Much Love!
Mary
