GS: Namaste. From what I got from you, I want to thank by sharing some observations. Gangaji in one video says something which restricts enlightenment to life. I remembered Ramji says life is supported by Self. Self is beyond life. Am I right?
Sundari: I am not sure exactly what Gangji said here, but as she teaches Neo-Advaita, she does not have the whole teaching on non-duality. As you must know, the Neo-Advaitins do not teach Isvara, disregard mithya, and therefore have no methodology for Self-inquiry. They thus often make very confusing statements. Of course life is supported by Self, there would be no life without it. But the Self is free of life.
GS: I respect Rupert [Spira]. He says purification of mind is not a prerequisite for realization. My understanding is realization happens when mind is pure. Am I correct?
Sundari: Rupert is wrong, and you are correct. There is no way around the qualifications required to purify the mind, as moksa will not obtain without them.
GS: Nirguna samadhi is not necessary, because moksa itself is that. It is your natural state. I hope this is right.
Sundari: Yes, but nirguna samadhi is an object known to the Self, as like all experiences, it ends. The Self is free of all attributes, is that which is always present and never changes, unaffected by anything and not dependent on anything.
GS: Prakriyas and triguna vibhava yoga suggested by you both really work. I am not aware of any other source disseminating these things.
Sundari: Vedanta works unfailingly if the mind is qualified and the teachings translate into your life. Only Vedanta has a valid and independent teaching on mithya–Isvara/gunas-jiva- jagat, there is no other teaching with the whole mandala of existence. It is the Holy Grail, the Royal Secret.
GS: Let Isvara bless you, couple, with a longer, blissful life so that more seekers are enlightened. Thanks in advance.
Sundari: Thank you, and many blessings to you too.
~ Love, Sundari
