Description
Panchadasi, ‘the book with 15 chapters,’ was written in the 14th 14th century by Vidyaranya Swami, one of the Shankaracharyas of Sringeri Math. Unlike some Vedantic texts, Panchadasi presents the entire teaching in a clearly arranged fashion that avoids excessive repetition of ideas. It is considered to be one of the greatest scriptures of Vedanta and a compulsory textbook for all serious inquirers.
It is one of James’ personal favorites, an opinion shared by the great mahatma of Chennai, Swami Paramarthananda.
SPECIFICATIONS: 26 VIDEOS (OVER 32 HOURS OF TEACHING). RECORDED IN BAD MEINBERG, APRIL 2016.
Note: While Panchadasi is beneficial to anyone, if you are new to the study of Vedanta, it would be helpful to first watch the videos on Tattva Bodha, Self-Inquiry, and the Bhagavad Gita in order to establish a familiarity with all of the necessary ideas and terminology. This will greatly assist your study of Panchadasi.
