No Dharma for the Self

Q: Namaste. I read in article by James that jiva is liberated when it is free from dharma, kama and artha. I am not clear how dharma binds.kindly respond. Regards.

Sundari:  Dharma is a word that describes that natural laws that run the apparent reality – mithya. The Self, being satya, is free of everything because it is not ‘in’ mithya. Therefore how can the Self be or break dharma? Dharma does not apply to it because all dharma is mithya. However, as the apparent person still exists and functions in the world, it follows dharma impeccably and effortlessly because it understand that all is itSelf. Then you are free of dharma because you are Dharma with a big “D’.

Does that help?

Om,

Sundari
