   ~ The Essence of Enlightenment

Join us for a  four day Vedanta immersion seminar where James and  Sundari will unfold the priceless teachings of Vedanta, according to James’  classic,  ‘The Essence of Enlightenment’. This powerful  text covers the whole Vedanta pramana from qualifications right through to Self-actualization.  James has revised the book  making the subject matter  more accessible than ever, and added many powerful illustrations. Not to be missed!

TEACHING SCHEDULE:

Thursday 25th – Sunday 28th:

Mornings: 10 am – 1 :00 Pm (with tea break)

Afternoons: 3:30 Pm – 6:00 Pm (with tea breaks)

Meals

We will have tea, coffee and biscotti for tea breaks, but lunch will not be provided. I will see if I can find a caterer, but there are many lovely towns nearby

VENUE: Our home in Abruzzo Italy

We are situated near the town of  Bisenti which is situated in Teramo District of the province of Abruzzo. Our house is present on Google Maps, directions to our home will be given out when you book.

To Get To Us From Rome

Unless you are driving from Europe, wherever you come from, you will need to fly to Rome International airport, but there are no connecting flights to Pescara. There are some direct flights from several countries in Europe to Pescara International Airport in Abruzzo, which is 1 hour from us. These are: UK, Dublin, Belgium, Germany, Poland among others.  

Your Best Options Are:

  1. Renting a Car:

The fastest but most expensive option (2 hrs)  is to rent a car. However, you will need one to get to and from the venue, unless you take a taxi twice a day, which will be expensive too.  We have a car which we are happy to loan if you cannot afford to rent or a taxi, but whoever uses it may have to shuttle others to and from the venue.  We can work this out.

  1. By Bus:

The second fastest (approx. 2 hrs) but not cheapest (25 euros one way) is by bus, which runs regularly.

Flixbus, Itabus, Prontobus, and Di Fonzo

  1. By Train:

The third and cheapest option (14 – 21 euros) is by train, a very scenic ride which takes approx. 3 ½ hrs.

Accommodation Nearby and Meals:

The nearest town is Bisenti, which has all the basic services. Other villages are about 10 minutes away from us. The closest cities to our home are Atri, Penne, and Teramo. These are where you will find the best accommodation options.

There are many good restaurants nearby. We will supply tea, coffee and biscuits.
