Information About the Area:
Our physical location is near Colmenar, Malaga, in the Axarquia region of Andalucía in southern Spain, about 45 minutes from Malaga International airport. It would be best to arrive there and not at any other airport in Spain. If you cannot afford a car, we can put registrants in touch with each other to share accommodation and transportation.
There are many beautiful towns in Axarquia offering accommodation at a wide range of prices. Sharing accommodation will definitely be the cheapest option. Check out Airbnb, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, or Hotels near Colmenar and find many options, both for catering and self-catering. Google Maps (or Earth) and search for “Romo Cuevas” you will be able to see the local area.
The only town (it’s a hamlet) within walking distance to us is Solano. In the area near us in a radius between 10- and 30-minute drive are the towns of Romo, Mazmullar, Comares, Los Dioses, Los Ventorros, La Alqueria, Colmenar, Corazones, El Zuque, Jaldarin, Las Guájaras, Rio Gordo, Benamargosa and others.

Tapaluz – (To Be Confirmed) is a private homewithin walking distance, belonging to friends who are prepared to rent out 3 rooms. Two are separate private rooms connected to the main house (but not part of it and you will not have access to it) each with their own entrance and bathroom, both with aircon. The other is a small cottage with a single bed, toilet and shower, (there is a fan, but no aircon, hot in summer). All three rooms are equipped with towels, electric kettle and cups, but no fridge. If I am waiting for the owner to get back to me to confirm if it will be available for the dates of our seminar. If it is, booking for this property will be organized through me, so email Sundari – sundari.shiningworld@gmail.com.
ACCOMMODATION TO SHARE NEARBY
There are many places available online that are suitable to share, and they would require sharing a rental car as well, which will make costs very reasonable. I will help attendees to liaise with each other and do whatever I can to facilitate a happy stay for everyone.
I have found another villa about a five-minute drive away from Mundo Sundaram. It is walkable if you are very fit, but a car is advisable. It is a beautiful, private home with a main house and a separate cottage that sleeps up to 8 people, depending on if that includes couples or singles. The main house has four double bedrooms, and the cottage has two double rooms. The cottage would be ideal for a couple who wants privacy and will cost slightly more than the rooms in the house for this reason.
